Greetings Imagine Andrews Families,
It’s a great day at Imagine Andrews! Now that the 2nd quarter has ended and we are planning for the next awards ceremony, I would like to clarify the qualifications for scholars to be recognized during the next awards ceremony. Listed below are policies that were extracted from the 2016-2017 Parent & Scholar Handbook. Some details have been added to provide clarity, due to several concerns that were raised after the 1st Quarter Awards Ceremony.
ACADEMIC & CHARACTER AWARDS/HONORS:
2nd-8th Grade
- Honor Roll – In order to make “Honor Roll’ scholars must have ALL As and Bs on their report card
- Principal’s Award – To receive the “Principal’s Award” scholars must have ALL As on their report card
- 3.0 Award – Scholars who receive a 3.0 will be recognized by standing in place at their seats
- If scholars receive a C in any area, they are not eligible for the Principal’s Award & Honor Roll
- Work Habits & Social Skills are a part of the requirements for awards
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
- Scholars who have all PRs will receive the “All Stars Award”
- Selected scholars will receive “Character Awards”
- Work Habits, Social Skills & Social Development count as a grade and will impact the receipt of the “All Stars Award”
- “Classroom Dojo” serves as an alternative to a behavior chart and ultimately impacts the grade for work habits & social skills
