*Math STAR test TUESDAY 2/7/17

*No school for scholars on Friday 2/10/17

In Math, we are using a hundreds chart to help us see 10-based patterns in sequence. The chart helps children see numbers in ordered rows and columns and understand the patterns in tens and ones. We are continuing to practice with 10-groups, and adding tens to any 2-digit number, with totals to 100.

In Science, we are continuing to classify objects into groups.  Students will be given a group of objects that they will have to group in different ways.  They will make predictions about which objects will sink or float and make observations.  We will begin to talk about how matter can change.

In Health, we will be focusing on dental hygiene because February is Dental Hygiene month! We will read books and students will describe 5 ways to take care of their teeth in their journals.
