Agenda Books

The students will need to start bringing their agenda books/planners to class so they can write down their homework assignments for class. The school is selling agenda books for $6 cash. Please have your child bring the money to school or you can have the money given to Ms. Gunn. You are also welcome to get planners from the store. September topics for Math and Science

My name is Ms. Hayes. I am your child’s Math/Science/Health teacher this year.  Our topics that we will be discussing in September are the following: Unit 1: Partners and Number Patterns through 10 and Weather.

I will be giving the students their math workbooks on Friday. They will bring home the family letter on Friday to let you know what they will be learning in Unit 1. I will post videos and resources to help your chid in the resources section.

For Science, we will start learning about the weather.  Everyday in the month of September we will record what the weather looks like outside. On the weekend, they will bring the graph home to record the weather.  I can not wait to start these topics with the kids. If you have any questions, please do not hestitate to contact me.

Class Dojo

This year, Mrs. Kirchner and Ms. Hayes will be using Class Dojo in our classrooms. This will allow us to track each student's behavior, as well as to stay in contact with each of our parents! Tonight an invitation was sent out with your child for you to set up an account. Each student has a unique code that their parent may enter in order to be connected with their specific profile. Your child's information can ONLY be seen by you and your child's teachers. Setting this up will only take a moment!

Simply type in the website for Class Dojo. Sign in as a new parent and enter your child's code. You will need to do this for both Mrs. Kirchner and Ms. Hayes. Once this is completed, we will be able to stay connected by sending updates from our day! You are able to do this on your computer, or you may download the app and have updates sent directly to your cellphone!

We will start using Class Dojo on Monday, so please try to set up your account by then!
